Agroforestry Suitability Tool

Agroforestry has the potential to increase landscape sustainability. However, adoption is limited, especially in the US Midwest, where conventional agriculture is highly productive but associated with social and environmental tradeoffs. We designed the Agroforestry Suitability Tool to support Extension, governmental and non-governmental officials designing programs to promote agroforestry. The tool allows users to set relative weights of social, economic, environmental, and tree suitability criteria to assess agroforestry suitability according to their goals.
